SEND US YOUR RECIPES PLEASE!
Things are well under way in the production of the St John’s cookery book that we are creating to raise funds for our new Parish Centre. We are inviting you, your family and friends to submit a favourite tasty recipe - be it the fail-proof showstopper casserole, a great-aunt’s dreamy pudding or something delicious you or yours concocted over a camp fire - anything that we can all enjoy repeating. Perhaps there’s a story to go with your recipe?
The deadline for all recipe submissions is getting ever closer - Easter (17thApril) and please follow these guidelines:
- Weights and measures should be in metric (kg/g etc) or imperial (lb/oz etc) but not American (cups) please.
- Please state the cooking time and how many the recipe serves.
- We cannot print any recipe that has been copied straight from any publication because of copyright laws.
- Recipes to be submitted preferably by an email headed ‘Cook Book’ to the Parish Office,
- There will also be a mail box in the porch where handwritten recipes may be posted.
- If you have a short story about your recipe, we would love to have that too.
The book will be printed in the late autumn - well in time for Christmas 2022 - so hopefully lots of copies will be found under many Christmas Trees but only if we receive your recipes. We do need lots of them - so waste no time! We look forward to hearing from you soon!
