Mask wearing is not required by St John’s. However, we do like to see masks wearing in crowded areas, such as during communion or when arriving and departing Church. Seats are set aside for those who wish to remain socially distanced and wear masks throughout the service. Please do leave this space for those who would like to make use of this.  We ask that you respect the social distancing wants of others; we will keep the Church well ventilated.

The Order for the Service (PDF) is available online; by the time of the service our Pewsheet and our Church at Home reflection will also be available.

The links to the online service and to the resources are also in our weekly email update. To be added to future updates, please subscribe here.

14:00Beating of the Bounds

Beating of the Bound is an ancient custom, although with the creation of St John’s Parish only in 1936, we cannot claim any medieval pedigree.  Although on the plus we can claim a far short walking route (roughly 8 miles we think).

We intend to beat the bound of the Parish meeting at 2pm outside St John’s on Sunday 22nd May - and finishing with a pint!

Everyone is welcome, whether religious or not.
